Overview

This Lindfield residence transforms a traditional brick home into a refined contemporary retreat, balancing generous open spaces with warmth, privacy and everyday comfort. Built by Rudder Group, the project called for a construction system that could support a bold architectural transformation without compromising on efficiency or performance.

Challenge: Balancing Design and Performance

Converting a traditional brick home into a minimalist contemporary residence meant rethinking the building envelope entirely. The design called for clean horizontal and vertical lines and a refined façade, while still delivering strong thermal and acoustic performance, an efficient build program, and everyday livability for the homeowners.

Solution: Walsc 75mm External Wall System

To support that vision, Rudder Group built with the Walsc 75mm External Wall System, using lightweight Walsc AAC panels that enabled a more efficient build while delivering thermally efficient, fire-resistant performance. As a complete AAC wall system, each AAC panel reduced construction time on site without compromising on comfort or durability, giving Rudder Group the flexibility to realize the home's contemporary design intent.
