    Overview

Babylon Sydney, part of Denvell Group's Ancient Cities Collection at Rouse Hill, is built around flowing water, natural stone courtyards, and soft organic lines. To match Rothelowman Architects' vision, structurally and aesthetically, we supplied the Walsc Facade Wall System with 50mm AAC panels for the curved feature walls outside, and the Walsc Internal Wall Systems throughout the interior.

    The challenge

The design called for sweeping curved facade lines, not standard flat walls while still meeting fire, thermal and weatherproofing requirements for a high-rise apartment building.

    Solution

Facade Wall System — flexibility and waterproofing

Part of a weatherproof-tested AAC panel wall system, keeping the building envelope sealed across both curved and straight facade sections.

Internal Wall System (75mm) — acoustic and thermal performance

    • Acoustic separation up to Rw+Ctr 54dB, reducing noise transfer between units.

    • Solid AAC core adds thermal mass to internal partitions, supporting a more stable indoor temperature.

    • Lightweight, two-trade install kept internal fit-out moving efficiently.

    Result

    • A curved, weatherproof facade that delivers the design intent without compromising performance.

    • Strong acoustic and thermal separation across internal walls.

    • One AAC panel wall system approach, simplifying coordination across facade and internal trades.
